The second week of NFL action is in the books, which means it’s time to scour the waiver wire for potential additions. Based on the latest fantasy football podcast, here are my top 10 pickups to target on waivers this week.
1. Kyen Williams
With Cam Akers traded, Kyen Williams played 95% of snaps and saw 24 total opportunities. He’s clearly the new lead back for the Rams’ high-powered offense. Add Williams for RB1/RB2 production as long as this workload continues.
2. Zach Moss
Moss took over as the Colts’ primary back with 18 carries, 88 yards, 1 TD, and 4 catches last week. He’s a rock-solid RB2 play while Jonathan Taylor is out. Stash Moss for guaranteed volume over the next few weeks before Taylor returns.
3. Tutu Atwell
Atwell has emerged as the Rams’ WR2 with Cooper Kupp sidelined. He saw 8 targets in Week 2, demonstrating reliable volume. Atwell is a prime breakout candidate if he maintains a starting role.
4. Jaden Reed
The Packers WR keeps producing, with 4/37/2 last week. He’s building trust with Jordan Love in the red zone. Stash Reed for his breakout potential in Green Bay’s promising young offense.
5. Josh Reynolds
Reynolds is locked in as Detroit’s WR2, making him a viable weekly flex play. He went 5/66/2 last week and plays in a high-powered passing offense. Reynolds brings WR3 upside during his starting role.
6. Taysom Hill
The Swiss army knife rushed 9 times for 75 years, caught a pass, and threw a completion. With QB/RB/TE eligibility, Hill has standalone flex value thanks to his goal line usage. He offers a high floor near the end zone.
7. Justice Hill
Hill remains part of a backfield committee in Baltimore. He provides receiving upside and TD potential to go with around 10 touches per game. Hill is a decent weekly flex option.
8. Derek Carr
Carr is a recommended streaming option this week. With his talented weapons, Carr can keep up his hot start. He brings low-end QB1 appeal.
9. Hunter Henry
Henry makes for an excellent tight end streamer, having scored a TD in back to back games. He’s heavily involved in New England’s passing attack, giving him TE1 upside on volume alone.
10. Chiefs D/ST
The Chiefs defense is a top streaming option against Justin Fields and the Bears in Week 3. Expect sacks and turnovers against the heavily pressured Fields. Start the Chiefs for a high fantasy floor.
