Chris Fallica went 5-4-1 last week and is now 11-14-1 overall this season with his college football picks. In Week 5, he shares his favorite wagers.

Chris Fallica’s Week 5 Picks:

  • Texas A&M (-6) at Arkansas
  • Nebraska total under 10.5 vs Michigan
  • Houston (+9) at Texas Tech
  • Auburn total under 15.5 vs Georgia
  • Indiana (+14.5) at Maryland
  • Troy (+1) at Georgia State
  • Virginia (+3.5) at Boston College
  • Moneyline underdog picks
    • Virginia +140
    • South Alabama +135
    • Vanderbilt +395
    • Virginia Tech +120

Texas A&M (-6) at Arkansas

Fallica thinks the Aggies are underrated and their defense is the best unit on the field. After blowing leads against BYU and LSU, he wonders where Arkansas is mentally. He’ll back the Aggies to cover despite a potential look ahead to Alabama next week.

Nebraska total Under 10.5 vs Michigan

Fallica doesn’t think there will be many possessions for Nebraska in this game against one of the slowest tempo teams. Michigan’s great defense has only allowed 23 points in 4 games against overmatched opponents. Going from Louisiana Tech and Northern Illinois to Michigan is a big step up, so don’t expect many points for Nebraska.

Houston (+9) at Texas Tech

With Texas Tech’s starting QB injured, Fallica is uncertain if the Red Raiders offense can rally this season. Despite Houston getting blown out by TCU, laying close to double digits seems risky since Houston is now led by a former Tech QB. He’ll grab the points with Houston.

Auburn total Under 15.5 vs Georgia

Since 2017, Auburn has struggled to score over 10 points against Georgia. With questions at QB and facing a great Georgia defense, Fallica thinks 15.5 is too high for Auburn’s point total.

Indiana (+14.5) at Maryland

Fallica hates this pick but thinks Indiana played NC State and Louisville tough and Maryland has mostly beat bad teams. The Terps are likely looking ahead to Ohio State next week. Maryland has failed to cover as favorites lately so he’ll take the Hoosiers.

Troy (+1) at Georgia State

Fallica finds the line fishy with 4-0 Georgia State only favored by 1 point over Troy at home after a road win at Coastal Carolina. Troy has played well in toss up games this year. Their defense should give them a good chance to win outright.

Virginia (+3.5) at Boston College

Fallica thinks both teams could be 0-4. Boston College has been a bad favorite and nearly lost to Florida State. There’s no chance he’d lay points with the Eagles here. Virginia could win outright.
