Colin was too busy swimming with the dolphins last week in Hawaii rather than to make some picks on the last day of the regular season.  He doesn’t love the picks this week since there’s only 4 games to pick from, so he’s calling it the Blasé 4 picks this week.

If you’re looking for other winners, you know who has been on fire?  Bill Simmons, yes, the Sports Guy.  His season was left for dead in the first half of the year, but he’s 25-8 in the last 7 weeks. Chris Berman and Supercontest leaders also have been killing it so far this year. And be sure to check out these two New Yorkers, Mike Francesa and Craig Carton both have been quietly have a great year, both picking at over 60% for the season. And don’t miss our boy Cousin Sal’s picks this week.

THE HERD’S BLAZIN’ FIVE (Blase 4) PICKS NFL 2017 NFL Playoffs Wild Card Picks (Season Record 44-33-3):

Oakland (+3.5) at Houston – Colin’s not excited about this game, but if he had to pick, he would take the points, but Houston probably wins the game with a final score like 20-17.  Colin thinks Derek Carr is the MVP of the league.  Raiders have not moved the ball since Carr got hurt.  This game comes down to field goals and Raiders have the better kicker and better offensive line.  Raiders should be able to keep it close.

Detroit (+8) at Seattle – There’s zero chance Detroit wins this game.  Stafford has not been able to throw the ball well since his hand injury, and Lions cannot run the football.  But problem for the Seahawks is that they can’t run the football either.  There’s some limitation to this Seahawks team, and the offensive line is their issue.  Detroit plays most of its games close, they only have 3 games decided by more than a score.  Russell Wilson has never lost a playoff home game, so Seattle will win this game but will not cover.
Miami at Pittsburgh (-10) – This is the blowout of the weekend.  This is probably the only game Colin would play this week.  When Florida teams go north the last 20 times, 17 of them have lost.  It’s 19 degrees in Pittsburgh.  Steelers have the best QB, WR, RB combo in the league.  They will build up a big lead and Leveon Bell will pound the ball to control this game.  Miami has a decent defense, but they actually have one of the worst run defenses in the league. Pittsburgh will win big 31-10.

New York (+4) at Green Bay – When the best offense plays the best defense, typically the defense wins.  The Giants secondary, which is the strength of the team, will handle the Packers receivers this game.  The Packers are also extremely banged up for this game.  This will be a 21-20 game, either team could win the game.
