Update: check here for the week 9 Blazing Five Picks when it becomes available

After another great week going 4-1, Colin is now 11-4 in his last three weeks.  On the year, he’s 7 games over .500 with a 60% winning pct.  Solid year so far.

If you’re looking for other winners, Chris Berman (26-11) and Ripsaw (27-7-1) have been killing it so far this year. And don’t miss our boy Cousin Sal’s picks this week.

THE HERD’S BLAZIN’ FIVE PICKS NFL 2016 WEEK 8 (Season Record 21-14):

1

[loser] Packers at Falcons (-2.5) – Atlanta is averaging 32.7 points per game while Packers only scored 30 points once this year and that was a home game.  Green Bay has allowed 5 TD over 20+ yards, that’s tied for most in the league.  That is exactly Falcons’ strength to attack, Julio Jones should go off this week.  Atlanta wins 28-20.

2

[winner] Seahawks at Saints (+3) – Last three Saints game were decided by just over 3 points per game.  Saints defense allowed almost 450 yards per game in their first 3 games, but in their last 3 games they have cut that down to only 360 yards per game, so their defense has improved in the last few weeks.  Russell Wilson is banged up, has not thrown for a TD since week 4.  Saints win 28-23.3

[loser] Chiefs at Colts (+2.5) – Luck only has thrown 1 pick in his last 3 games.  Last week he led the Colts to a comeback win with mostly scrubs nobody’s heard of. Luck has been dominant in their 4th quarter, with 8 TD in 4Q, which leads the NFL, and 111.7 passer rating, good for 3rd in NFL.  Colts win 27-23.4

[loser] Cardinals (+2.5) at Panthers – Cardinals defensive haven’t allowed an offensive touchdown in their last 111 plays.  Newton’s pass rating is on pace for his worst in his career, at only 81.2.  Arizona blitzs on almost a third of their plays, will put tons of pressure on Cam this week.  Panthers won’t be able to turn their season around here.  Arizona wins 24-20.

5

[winner] Eagles at Cowboys (-4.5) – Dallas have a 27 point differential in the first quarter, which is the best in the NFC, they are a fast starter this year with Dak at the helm.  Philly has been outscored 21-0 in the 1st quarter in their last 3 games. Cowboys have the best running game by far in the NFL, averaging 117 yards rushing per game.  Cowboys offensive should be able to dominate Philly’s front 4.  Dallas wins 31-23.
