For awhile there on Sunday it seemed Colin was doomed for a 1-4 day at best, but the  Cowboys saved him on the night game.  2-3 overall on the week, not too terrible.  Still having a fantastic season, hitting 58% of his picks, and coming on strong the last few weeks.

If you’re looking for other winners, Chris Berman (29-13) and Ripsaw (29-9-2) have been killing it so far this year. And don’t miss our boy Cousin Sal’s picks this week.

THE HERD’S BLAZIN’ FIVE PICKS NFL 2016 WEEK 9 (Season Record 23-17):

[push] Carolina (-3) at Los Angeles – Carolina only giving up 3 points is too good to pass up.  Rams have the 3rd worst offense in the NFL with 17.1 PPG.  Since Cam returned from his concussion injury, Panthers have averaged 34 PPG, second best in the NFL, and he has cleaned up his turnovers.  Cam will be focused here.  Panthers win 27-20.

[loser] Dallas at Cleveland (+7) – A classic trap game, Cowboys just came off a physical OT game against divisional rival Philly last week, and they have Steelers on the schedule next, it will be easy to overlook the Browns here.  McCown will be starting for the Browns, who had been the the best QB on the Browns, with the highest yard per play of all QBs on the roster.  Cowboys will come out flat this game and squeak out a tight 28-23 win.

Buffalo (+6.5) at Seattle – Seattle has one offensive TD in the last 2 games, Wilson hasn’t throw for a TD since week 4.  Bills are 4-0 when they can run the ball 27 times, and that’s how Bills will attack the Seahawks this game.  Seattle rush defense allowed 127 yards per game on the ground the last two game.  Low scoring close game, Seattle wins 21-20.

[winner] Indianapolis (+7.5) at Green Bay – Green Bay should not be giving up 7.5 points to anybody.   Colts have scored 120 points in the 2nd half this year, which is the most in the NFL, that would give Colts at least a good chance at a backdoor cover with the large spread.  Packers have allowed 110+ passer rating to opposing QBs in 4 of last 6 games. Green Bay is the better team, but they’re not consistent enough to give up that many points.  Green Bay wins 29-26.

[loser] Denver (PK) at Oakland – This is Colin’s pick of the week.  This Raiders team is simply too young.  They are unbeaten on the road but  1-2 at home, and 0-3 ATS at home. Even on their road wins, their defense is terrible.  Oakland has allowed 400 yards passing 5 times already this season.  Siemian isn’t terrible, he can dissect that Raiders passing defense.  Broncos are 6-0 when they score at least 20 points this season. Denver wins 31-23.
