Nick Kostos is the host of The Line sponsored by Sports illustrated. He is coming off a red hot week where he went 4-1 with his 5 best bets. Here we go with his week 4 NFL 5 best bets.

  1. Carolina @ Houston – Carolina +4
  2. Washington @ NY Giants – Washington +2.5
  3. Cleveland @ Baltimore – Cleveland +7
  4. Kansas City @ Detroit – Kansas City -6.5
  5. Dallas @ New Orleans – New Orleans +2.5

Those are his 5 best bets for week 4. On The Line Nick Kostos also gives some bets he likes but does not love, I will list those below.

  • Tennesse @ Atlanta – Tennesse +4
  • Minnesota @ Chicago – Under 38
  • Tampa Bay @ LA Rams – Tampa Bay +9
  • Jacksonville @ Denver – Denver -3.5
  • Cincinatti @ Pittsburgh – Over 43.5

At a first glance, I see that Nick Kostos is riding primarily with underdogs. This is a good strategy since road underdogs have performed pretty well this season.

I like most of these picks, I will go into depth about the ones I like the most.

Cleveland +7 @ Baltimore

I can see the Browns straight up winning this game.

The Ravens have been great, Lamar Jackson has looked out of this world. Although, he was slowed down last week, and I think he will be again. Myles Garrett is a freak, he makes offensive lineman look like children. Look for him to provide heavy pressure on Lamar.

The Browns haven’t really clicked yet so we are still waiting to see the best of the Browns, where I feel we’ve seen the Ravens full potential. 7 points is to many to lay, take the Browns +7.

Kansas City -6.5 @ Detroit

Two words…

Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes is doing things we have never seen, he is on pace for over 60 TDs and 6,000 yards. This will be his first indoor game in the NFL. The last time he played indoors was at Texas Tech where he threw 6 TDs and almost 600 yards. The Lions have looked good and Matt Patricia has made this team a threat.

But, it all comes down to this. Nobody can stop Mahomes, the only way to beat him is to outscore him. I don’t see this Lions offense keep pacing with Mahomes and company for 60 minutes. Take Kansas City -6.5.

Cincinatti @ Pittsburgh Over 43.5

Nick Kostos said he isn’t confident enough in either team to take a spread. But one thing he is confident in is the amount of points.

The Bengals offense has looked good. Andy Dalton is top 5 in passing yards, and the Steelers defense has looked terrible.

Big Ben may be injured but the Steelers still put up 20 points last week. Look for Rudolph to play better and to get more production out of Conner. I don’t know who wins this game. But, it doesn’t matter because they will score points. Take the over.
