  • First of all, this is for the underdog moneyline bad beat. A&M ultimately still covered the spread despite the collapse.
  • Most sports fans probably heard about this dramatic comeback by UCLA, led by Josh “The Chosen One” Rosen, it’s one of the biggest comebacks in NCAA history.
  • UCLA trailed 44-10 late in the 3rd quarter, with just over 17 minutes remaining in the game, many of the fans at the game had already left, and most TV viewers probably changed the channel by then as well.
  • ESPN projection gave Texas A&M a 99.5% chance of winning the game LATE in the game with 4:21 remaining in the 4th quarter
  • Then it all fell apart for the Aggies.  Besides poor clock management by the offensive coordinator for not draining the clock the entire 4th, there wasn’t much else they did particular wrong, Josh Rosen simply had a great performance and picked apart the Aggies defense.
  • Also didn’t help the Aggies starting QB went down in the 3rd quarter, leaving the game in the hands of a true freshman.
  • As a result of this collapse, Kevin Sumlin is on the hot seat early in the season, one Texas A&M regent has already publicly called for Sumlin to be fired immediately.
