Very excited about this betting season.  With football season just around the corner and training camps about to be underway.  We previewed the bottom feeders and the middle tier the last two days.  Let’s fill out the rest of our NFL preseason power rankings!

And the top 10 are…

10. Philadelphia Eagles

I’m a big Carson Wentz fan. I loved the poise I saw in him as a rookie.  But he did falter down the stretch. The lack of offensive weapons was an issue for him. But they added Alshon and Torrey Smith at WRs and Blount at RB. Those veterans should help. They lost Barwin, a defensive cornerstone so that will be tough to replace.

9. Dallas Cowboys

Fluke?? Let’s see is Dak is the real deal in season 2. Yes, it’s pretty inflated that he played behind an all-pro offensive line. But he still made the plays. They beefed up their defense on the outside with CB Nolan Carroll and Safety Robert Blanton. This could be the year for Cowboy Nation, finally.

8. Arizona Cardinals

Only reason they are this high is the crappy NFC West. I’m a big Bruce Arians fan and he undoubtedbly underachieved last season. So much talent on both sides of the ball. Carson isn’t getting any younger either. It’s now or never.

7. NY Giants

Who doesn’t love Eli? Ok, i get it. He’s not that loveable. They added Brandon Marshall to an already formidable WR corp of Odell and Sheppard. If Eli isn’t a bonehead this year, the offense has all the tools it could desire. The defense was stout last year and they didn’t lose any key pieces. I think they have what it takes to win the toughest division in the NFC.

6. Seattle Seahawks

First off, they play in the weakest division in the NFL. They have that going for them. But there’s been a lot of locker room noise with Wilson and Sherman. Still, they have a really strong defense and added DE Dion Jordan. Also added RB Eddie Lacy to hopefully add some consistency to that position.

5. Oakland Raiders

The Raiders offense will be one of the most prolific this season, assuming Carr returns to form from his season ending injury. Beast Mode will be exceptionally fun to watch him fit in. It will be all about the defense in Oakland. With Mack as the anchor, the defense is headed in the right direction.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers

Offense will not be a worry. The defense has its holes new acquisitions in DE with Tyson Alualu should help it’s core. Big Ben has underachieved last few years as Pitt is always Super Bowl or bust. A lot of tough competition in the AFC to go up against.

3. Atlanta Falcons

I know, i know. Epic collapse for the ages in the Superbowl. I really like Matty Ice so I felt really bad for him. I would normally drop a team lower for such a horrible franchise defining choke job, but this ATL team is really all in their prime with Matty Ice, Julio, and the RB duo. Their offense will be fine. One of the best this season. And their defense is ever improving.

2. Green Bay Packers

GB has, in my opinion, the best all around QB in today’s game with A-Rod. They lost a good deal of talent this year in the off-season.  Key losses G T.J. Lang, RB Eddie Lacy, RB James Starks, TE Jared Cook, LB Julius Peppers are all tough to fill. Adding TE Martellus Bennett should balance out the passing attack for ARod and G Jahri Evans is a nice addition.  But the issue with GB always remains on the defensive end. And McCarthy is a brain dead overrated coach.

1. New England Patriots

They still got Tommy Terrific. They still got Belli. I could really stop there and feel very comfortable with my positioning of the defending champs. They lost Blount at RB and Bennett at TE. But they upgraded at TE with Dwayne Allen who I love and they STOLE RB Gillisee from the pathetic Bills. Those 2 alone are such great additions. So it’s not like Brady needs any more weapons on offense. But just for the heck of it, they added Brandin freakin Cooks. This will be fun.
There you have it.  Where does your team rank on this list?  Who do you think will win it all this year?
