Chris Fallica Record 2022:

Chris Fallica went 45-24-1 (65.2%) on his picks last season. Here are his selections for Week 1 of the 2023 college football season:

Chris Fallica Week 1 Picks (Record 2-3)

  • South Alabama (+6.5) at No. 24 Tulane [Loser] – South Alabama 17, Tulane 37
  • Boise State at No. 10 Washington (-14) [Winner]– Boise State 19, Washington 56
  • Fresno State at Purdue (-3.5) [Loser] – Fresno State 39, Purdue 35
  • Middle Tennessee (+39.5) at No. 4 Alabama [Loser] – Middle Tennessee 7, Alabama 56
  • TCU team total over 41.5 points [Winner] went over 41.5 points

South Alabama (+6.5) at No. 24 Tulane

Fallica likes South Alabama as a live underdog plus the points against Tulane. The Jaguars are coming off a 10-win season while Tulane has huge holes to fill. Fallica sees value in South Alabama keeping it close or pulling off the upset.

Boise State at No. 10 Washington (-14)

Fallica expects Washington to control the line of scrimmage and cover the big 14-point spread at home. He doesn’t think Boise State’s offense will threaten the Huskies much.

Fresno State at Purdue (-3.5)

Fallica is buying low on Purdue’s new staff to cover the small number at home against Fresno State without quarterback Jake Haener.

Middle Tennessee at No. 4 Alabama (-39.5)

Fallica sees a potential for Saban and Alabama to ease up and Middle Tennessee to cover the huge spread late.

TCU team total over 41.5 points

Even with offensive changes, Fallica believes TCU’s offense will still score over 41 points against Colorado.
