Colin is heating up, winning on his Blazing Five picks for the 5th straight week, including 4-1 week 16.  Only loss was a Thursday night game that Oakland won by a field goal in OT, did not cover the 5 points, the other 4 games were great picks that were covering comfortably most of the game.  Let’s close out the season with a 6th straight week win streak Colin.

Onto this week’s picks:

THE HERD’S BLAZIN’ FIVE PICKS NFL 2015 WEEK 17:

colin1

[winner] Buffalo (+3) at New York – 80% of public on Jets, run the other way.  Jets have beat up on lesser competition this year, and have been average against decent teams.  Rex loves nothing more than ruining his old team’s playoff chances.  Bills are great at running the football, especially late in the season.  Bills have the most touchdowns of 20 yards or more in the league.  Bills win in a upset 27-26.

colin2

[loser] Minnesota at Green Bay (-3) – Colin’s general rule he always follows: always take the team that just got blown out the previous week, especially on nationally TV, they almost always rebound.  Green Bay has a massive advantage in at QB position.  This game is for the division, stakes are high.  Green Bay are 10-1 with 2 or more sacks, 0-4 when less than 2 sacks, Vikings has the worst offensive line in the league.  Swallow the field goal, Packers win 28-20.

colin3

[loser] Oakland at Kansas City (-7) – Colin had been on the Raiders all year, but not here.  Chiefs can still win the division, and they forced turnover in 11 straight games.  Oakland is turnover-prone with 9 turnovers in the last 5 games.  Alex Smith is 6-1 with 16 TDs  and 1 INT in his career against the Raiders.  Kansas City covers, better head coach, more motivation to win. Chiefs win 31-21.

colin4

[winner] St. Louis at San Francisco (+3.5) – one of those lines that doesn’t make sense.  Rams just came off a huge emotional upset wins, young teams coming off these huge wins tend to pull back.  Niners are really good at home defensively, the point differential at home is only 3.4 points.  They have played really closed games at home, there’s far fewer points scored by Niners and its opponents playing at Levi’s Stadium.  This will be a low scoring game and close game.  Blaine Gabbert has thrown TD in each of his 7 games at home, he’s not terrible.  Take the points, Niners win in an upset 22-21.

colin5

[loser] Baltimore at Cincinnati (-9) – Bengals are playing for a bye, and if they get that bye, Bengals will get Andy Dalton back for their first playoff game, they have huge motivation to win this game.  Cincy has outscored divisional opponents by 10 points per game this year.  Baltimore are 23rd in the league in offense, and will have Ryan Mallett starting this week, going up against a great defensively line and great pass rushers.  Cincy has better personnel, great at home, Baltimore coming off a huge win as underdog, no chance they do it twice in a row.  This is Colin’s blowout of the weekend.  Cincinnati wins 31-13.
