Update: check here for Colin’s Week 4 Picks

Colin went a solid 3-2 last week, pulling him back to .500 record for the year.  KC was never in the game, Tennessee had a miracle cover with Detroit basically choking away the game.  Don’t get Colin’s obsession with the Redskins, lost on them last week, and picking them again this week (see below).

The theme this week are desperado teams.  Colin picked teams that have their backs against the wall and feel like a must win game for these teams.

Don’t forget to check out Cousin Sal’s week 3 picks, who went 3-0 last week.

THE HERD’S BLAZIN’ FIVE PICKS NFL 2016 WEEK 3 (Season Record 5-5):

[loser] San Francisco (+9.5) at Seattle – Colin loves taking points. Seattle’s last 8 home games, they have only been 5-3, not as dominant as you would think.  Russell Wilson and that offensive line is banged up and that offense has been pathetic with only 1 TD this season.  That Seattle defense has not created a single take away this year against Case Keenum and Ryan Tannehill.  Seattle will win, but will not cover.  Seattle wins 20-14.

[loser] Los Angeles at Tampa Bay (-4.5) – This one is same as Cousin Sal’s week 3 picks.  Tampa’s first home game, where the Rams have to travel cross country for this game.  Even though they just beat Seattle, they now have to face a budding star Jameis Winston.  Rams have not scored a TD this year and only 9 points total all year.  This game could get ugly quick.  Tampa wins 27-13.

[winner] San Diego at Indianapolis (-2.5) – Colin is a huge Andrew Luck homer, and playing the desperado card here.  Indy is 0-2 and playing at home, feels like a must win game.   San Diego is 1-9 in their last 10 road games, and just lost their top two offensive weapons in Keenan Allen and Danny Woodhead, both tore their ACL (Colin obviously never heard of Tyrell Williams, hellllllo McFly!!).  Indy wins 27-20.

[winner] Oakland (+1.5) at Tennessee – Oakland won a miracle game week 1 then got smoked in week 2, they are tough to team to gauge.  Tennessee are a terrible home team, going 3-20 in their last 23.  Oakland has a high power offense that’s ranked #1 in the league with 470 total yards a game.  Oakland also has the better coach, they wins 27-23.

[winner] Washington (+4.5) at New York – Giants not a great favorite at home, Washington is a desperado team this week.  Redskins are 8th in the league in offense with 408 total yards a game, they won 4 out of their last 6 in the division, Kirk Cousins will be just fine.  Washington will win the game outright 24-23.
