So it appears that Cousin Sal finally cooled off last week, going 1 win and 2 losses for the week on his weekly ESPN Sports Center picks.  He had a nice streak going with 4-1 record on his “Lock of the week” picks, but unfortunately, the Giants put up an absolute stinker in the Monday night game, all the turnovers really cost them the game. But with that, Cousin Sal still has a solid 67% winning percentage on his locks of the week (4 wins and 2 losses).

[winner] Raiders (+4.5) at Chargers – Chargers are probably the ultimate sucker’s bet this week, having just seen them put up record offensive numbers, but the popular picks are often the ones you want to run away from.  Raiders played Chargers extremely tough last year in both games.  Chargers are 1-7 at home ATS in the last 8 home games.  Raiders also coming out of a bye week had 2 weeks to prepare for this game.  Sounds like Cousin Sal is picking the Raiders to win straight up.  LA Raiders beat the LA Chargers.

Other Best Bets (6-6 for the year):

[winner] Patriots (-3) / Arizona (-1.5) (2 team – 6pt Teaser) – Going with the best teams of each conference and teasing down the 6 points.   Pats are -9 for the game.  Jets simply are not very good on offense, and Pats offense is rolling.  Monday night game Arizona hosting the Ravens, coming off a tough loss to Steelers, they should be prepared and coming out swinging.  Ravens are last in the league in pass defense, Carson Palmer licking his chops.

[winner] Jaguars (+5.5) over Bills (playing in London) – EJ Manuel will be starting this game with Tyrod Taylor nursing a banged up knee.  Sammy Watkins will also miss this game.  Cousin Sal thinks both Allen receivers will have a big game this week.  Jags are 5-2 ATS last 7 against AFC teams.
