To avoid taking ridiculously large dogs, we will be taking more picks with spreads, basically if we like the large dog, we likely would take the +1.5 instead of ML. Comment below if you have any questions.

  • Flyers are 5-2 in their last 7 Tuesday games.
  • Flyers are 5-2 in their last 7 vs. a team with a losing record.

  1. One of our readers just brought to our attention that majority of the books likely don’t offer -0.5 lines, so it would be confusing to post this way

I will edit today’s picks to reflect only ML or -1.5 lines.

  2. So how does that work with half a goal? Does that mean if they go to OT it’s a loss? I usually bet the ML. So I was just curious.

  3. That’s right, we usually don’t trust OT’s, it seems like such a toss up, basically regulation plays only. so any OT game would be a loss for -0.5 and a win for +0.5

  4. if you still prefer playing ML only, play all the +1.5 games as straight ML. basically if you see a +1.5 game, it just means we see great value for the dog, you can just skip the +1.5 and go for straight ML, just more risky but obviously better odds.

the one thing I would say is… just be consistent, it’s like if you always stay on 16 in blackjack, then heck, you better keep staying on 16 so you don’t piss off the rest of the table!
