Every week, we parse out the players in the top 1% of the Westgate Supercontest standing and follow their top 5 picks for the week.  In week 8, the leaders seem to favor the home dogs.

Last week, the consensus top 5 picks by the top 1% of the leaderboard went 2 of 5, but they did win the top 2 consensus picks.

Let’s take a look at this week’s consensus picks:

WESTGATE SUPERCONTEST 2015 WEEK 8 CONSENSUS PICKS:

[loser] Vikings at Bears (+1.5) [48% of picks] – Tough line here, bears have not played great defense so far this season, but the are playing at home and getting points.

[loser] Chiefs vs Lions (+5) [40% of picks]– the last of the 3 London games this year.  Gotta love waking up to a NFL game early in the morning.  Chiefs are without Jamaal Charles for the rest of the season, they haven’t done much since the injury, 5 points is a lot to give up here.

[loser] Bengals at Steelers (PK) [36% of picks]– Big Ben will be back for this game, Colin loves the Steelers here as well.

[winner] Seahawks at Cowboys (+6) [36% of picks]– Cowboys have not been playing well since Romo’s injury, but they did hang tough with the Giants last week until the backbreaking kickoff return for TD late in the 4Q.

[winner] Packers at Broncos (+3) [32% of picks]Cousin Sal seems to agree with this pick, although Colin is against it.  Both teams play tough defenses, Broncos are #1 in sacks and Packers are #2 in sacks.  Should be a great game.
