Clemson (+2) at Florida State

Van Pelt believes that if Dabo’s guys are truly talented, they need to secure a win in this game. If they fail, their hopes for the season could be dashed before the end of September. Interestingly, he was informed that this is the first time he’s ever picked Clemson, although he’s skeptical of that claim.

Indiana at Cincinnati (+14.5)

The home team recently suffered a loss to Miami of Ohio. However, the visiting team has managed to score 66 or more points twice in their last three games. Scott advises to pick the home team and take the points.

Army (+13.5) at Syracuse

Scott’s patriotism shines through as he expresses his love for America and the Army. Syracuse made him regret his decision the previous week, but he’s willing to go against them again, especially with Clemson awaiting them and considering their recent challenging matchups.

Colorado at Oregon (-21)

Scott feels the party might be over for Colorado, referencing a high school party analogy. With Colorado being 21-point underdogs, he finds it suspicious given their good performance. He believes laying them with the Ducks in Eugene is the right choice, stating that if Colorado wins, Vegas might have done a poor job handicapping.

West Virginia (+6) vs Texas Tech

Referencing a popular chant, “let’s go Mountaineers,” Scott hints at his choice. He’s backing the Mountaineers at home, taking the points from Texas Tech in their Big 12 opener.

Maryland at Michigan St (+7.5)

Despite the Terps falling behind 14-0 in their last two home games, they managed to come back and win comfortably. They’re playing their first road game against a Michigan State squad facing many internal issues. Scott feels Maryland giving more than a touchdown on the road in their Big 10 opener seems a bit high, so he’s leaning towards a close win for the Terps.

Oregon State at Washington State (+3)

Both teams are off to a 3-0 start. Scott believes that Oregon State is genuine, but he’s backing the home team, Washington State, to move to 4-0 in this PAC 12 showdown. He’s taking the points.

Appalachian State (+3) at Wyoming

Giving a shoutout to Dax Crumb, Scott highlights the competitiveness of Wyoming, who currently stand at 2-1. However, he’s placing his bets on Appalachian State on the road, with a slight lean towards the game that’s bound to be entertaining.

Mississippi State (+6) at South Carolina

Even after Mississippi State’s recent home debacle, Scott remains undeterred. He’s backing the Bulldogs once again, taking less than a touchdown on the road. He feels the number for this game seems off.

Pittsburgh (+7) at North Carolina

After a recent loss in the Backyard Brawl, where they scored only six points, Scott believes that if Pitt scores only six against North Carolina, this pick might not stand a chance. However, he’s hopeful they can make it a competitive four-quarter game and is taking the points at home.
