Another winning week for the “inverse Colin” backers. He’s so cold this year he’s resorting to picking CFB this past week, and still continued his losing streak with a 2-3 week.

Onto week 17…

Colin’s Picks:

  • Ohio State -2.5
  • Broncos +3.5
  • Saints +1
  • Bills -9.5
  • Falcons +4

Broncos +3.5 vs Bengals

Denver gets Sean Payton with extra rest while Bengals are on a shorter week after their Saturday game. The Broncos are 7-0 against teams with losing records and lead the NFL in sack differential, ranking second in sacks against Burrow’s struggling offensive line.

The Bengals haven’t beaten a legitimate #1 quarterback this year and their defense is struggling across the board.

Colin projects Broncos to win outright 28-27.

Saints +1 vs Raiders

New Orleans is motivated after being humiliated, going 3-3 under their interim coach with losses only to playoff teams. Their defense is playing well with 10 sacks in the last three games, while the Raiders have struggled offensively, scoring under 20 points in six straight games.

The Raiders have trailed by 10+ points in 14 of their last 15 games.

Colin predicts Saints to win 24-20.

Bills -9.5 vs Jets

Buffalo is 7-0 at home and won last week despite playing poorly. The Jets are dealing with multiple injuries to key players, are being outscored badly in second halves, and are 1-6 against teams with winning records.

The Bills protect Josh Allen well and are 7-2 against the Jets historically.

Colin projects Bills to win 28-17.

Falcons +4 vs Commanders

The Falcons’ offense has improved under Michael Penix with better third-down conversion and quick ball release. Their defense ranks third in the NFL with 16 sacks last month and is creating turnovers.

The Commanders’ last five wins have been close games, their defense is struggling, and Terry McLaurin is banged up.

Colin predicts Falcons to upset 30-27.

Ohio State -2.5 vs Oregon

Ohio State ranks top 10 in yards per play on both offense and defense. Will Howard has the second-highest completion percentage in the country at 73% with 36 touchdowns.

Oregon’s long layoff could lead to early rust, and their defense showed weakness against Penn State’s rushing attack.

Colin projects Ohio State to win an entertaining game 34-31.
