Colin Cowherd’s Blazin’ 5 Picks: NFL Week 7 in 2025
Colin Cowherd had one of his best weeks of the season, going 4–1 in his Blazin’ 5 for Week 6. The picks weren’t flashy, but they hit — Seattle handled Jacksonville, the Patriots-Saints under came through, and both Miami and Vegas covered with room to spare. The only miss came from Washington, who somehow found a way to blow it late against Chicago.
After a shaky start to the season, Colin’s starting to settle in. The reads were sharp, the matchups made sense, and for once, the bounces went his way. At 4–1 on the week, the Blazin’ 5 finally feels back in rhythm heading into Week 7.
Onto week 7…

Colin Cowherd Week 7 2025 Blazing 5

Cleveland Browns (-2.5) vs. Miami Dolphins
Cleveland at home in nasty weather is Colin’s favorite setup, and the pick made sense. The Browns’ defense is built for this — big front, elite pass rush, and a secondary that makes quarterbacks miserable in the wind. Colin expected the gusts to hit 40 mph and turn this one into a defensive rock fight. Miami’s locker room drama and soft run defense were the perfect contrast. The call: a sloppy 24–17 Browns win and cover.
Denver Broncos (-7) vs. New York Giants
This was about trust in a dominant defense and a quarterback who’s been better than people think. Russell Wilson’s numbers, Colin reminded everyone, actually stack up with some of the league’s better passers in yards per play and ball security. The Giants were due for a correction on the road, facing a Denver defense that leads the league in sacks and red-zone stops. “Fun story, but not against this front,” Colin said. The Broncos rolled easily, 28–20.
Commanders vs. Cowboys – Over 54.5 Points
Colin didn’t care who won this one, he just wanted points — and plenty of them. Both defenses have been shredded by big plays, and neither team has shown any ability to stop the pass. “Both quarterbacks are going to eat,” he said, calling for a fast-paced, high-scoring NFC East shootout. He expected a 30–27 type of game, and he wasn’t far off — the offenses delivered exactly as forecasted.
Arizona Cardinals (+7) vs. Green Bay Packers
Arizona’s been feisty all year, and Colin wasn’t buying into the Packers as a road favorite. The Cardinals have played nearly every game within a score, and Green Bay’s offense hasn’t shown the maturity to blow anyone out. Whether it was Kyler Murray or Jacoby Brissett under center, Colin called it close, physical, and scrappy. Arizona covered again, proving the desert dogs keep biting.
Detroit Lions (-4.5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Detroit has quietly become a juggernaut at home, averaging nearly 37 points per game at Ford Field. Jared Goff’s efficiency and Ben Johnson’s play design were too much for a banged-up Tampa defense. Colin pointed to Baker Mayfield’s turnover-prone tendencies as the tipping point, and he nailed it. “This is where you get separation,” he said — and the Lions will deliver, 28–21.
